We suggest that you arrive in San Antonio mid-day and go directly from the airport to the motorcycle rental dealer. After picking up your motorcycles and checking into your hotel, you will spend the evening in Downtown San Antonio visiting the River Walk and The Alamo. You will have the opportunity to eat some great Texas BBQ.
Day 1 – The first day of your “road trip” begins at 8:00 AM with breakfast. This tour is based on a daily itinerary that departs at 9:00 AM. You can start whenever you want but to make the day’s ride we suggest that you follow the schedule. You will leave San Antonio and head NW to the Texas Hill Country. The Edwards Plateau (or the “Texas Hill County”) roads are made for riding motorcycles. You will spend the day riding along the southern edge of the Plateau before heading south to the Mexico Border. You will spend the evening in Del Rio.
Day 2 – Today you will ride along the Mexico Border and the Rio Grande River. You will stop in Langtry, Texas. A small town made famous by Judge Roy Bean. You will spend the night
in Big Bend National Park.
Day 3 – Will be a day filled with photo opportunities. Big Bend National Park is an amazing place that not many people take the opportunity to visit. You will ride past the Davis and the Glass Mountains on your way to Alpine; where you will spend the night. This day’s ride will have the most photo opportunities of the week so make sure you are prepared with batteries fully charged and spare memory cards!
Day 4– You will spend the day riding across mid-section of Texas. This is Texas oil country and an agricultural area that extends to the Texas Hill Country. It will be a good leisurely day’s ride! You will spend the night in Brady, Texas.
Day 5 – You are back in The Texas Hill Country. You will ride across the middle of the Edwards Plateau from west to east. You will stop in Luckenbach to look for Willie Nelson and Waylon Jennings. You will spend the evening in Kerrville at the YO Ranch.
Day 6 – Will be a great day of riding in the Hill Country. This day will be just “pure riding fun”! One stop will be The Lone Star Motorcycle Museum in Vanderpool , Texas. You will spend the night in Bourne.
Day 7 – This the last day of our THC road trip. You will continue across the Plateau on some great roads on your way to San Antonio. You will arrive in San Antonio mid-day in time for lunch and then return your rental motorcycle and head to the airport. Each rider will receive a tour book that includes the daily ride sheets, suggested places to stop and see and GPS files to load into your GPS.
We will also suggest places to eat. If you like great BBQ, Mexican or Tex- Mex food. there are some great restaurants in this part of the country. We suggest that you choose a time of the year when the weather is favorable for this tour. Rain is usually not an issue but there are times of the year when the heat can become unbearable. We suggest hat you make this ride in the Spring or Fall. Should you want to extend this trip contact us and we can make those arrangements for you.
We offer the ability to pay in installments for all tours but they must be paid in full at least 30 days prior to the tour start date. If we purchase your airfare it must be paid at the time of booking and will be charged to your credit card. We will continue to offer customized tour packages for individuals, groups or organizations. If you are planning a business conference this winter in warm places such as Arizona, we can arrange a group outing for you and your colleagues that would include rental motorcycles.
